This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of several herbicides to control volunteer Roundup Ready soybean plants. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at Fesurv, Rio Verde – GO, in 2008, and the experimental plots were composed of pots of 10 dm3 of capacity. We have used the GR Valiosa® soybean cultivar, arranged in a randomized block design, replicated five times. It was applied the following treatments: atrazine (1,500 g ha-1), tembotrione (100.8 g ha-1), mesotrione (120 g ha-1), nicosulfuron (40 g ha-1), 2,4 D (670, 1,050 e 1,340 g ha-1), diquat (300 g ha-1), paraquat (400 g ha-1), [paraquat + diuron] (500+250 g ha-1) and a control without herbicide. The application was made when the plants were at the V3 growth stage. All herbicides except nicosulfuron, mesotrione, tembotrione and 2,4 D (670 g. ha-1) were effective in controlling soybean voluntary. In contrast the highest levels of control were obtained by atrazine and [paraquat + diuron].
