This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of herbicides in controlling soybean volunteer plants resistant to glyphosate. The experiment was conducted in field conditions by using randomized complete block design in factorial scheme 6×9, with four replications, with the first factor represented by six soybean genotypes resistant to glyphosate herbicide (BRS Favorita RR® , BRS Valiosa RR® , CD 219 RR® , M-SOY 7908 RR® , P98Y11® and P98R31® ) and the  second factor represented by herbicides sprayed isolated or […]

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of glyphosate sub doses in genipap (Genipa americana L.) young plants. One year after seedlings planting, three glyphosate sub doses were tested, being: T1 – 86.4, T2 – 172.8 and T3 – 345.6 g i.a. ha-1 and T4 – Check (without application). At 7, 14, 21, 28 and 120 days after herbicide application (DAA) scores were provided for visual phytotoxicity, and in the first and in the last evaluation, measurements of plant height […]

Two experiments were conducted simultaneously with the objective of evaluating the selectivity of nicosulfuron and chlorimuron-ethyl herbicides, applied in post-emergence at two developmental stages in alfalfa crop. Trials were conducted in greenhouse conditions in randomized entirely design, with five replications, in a 4 x 2 factorial scheme. The factors corresponded to the application of chlorimuron-ethyl herbicide at 0, 7.5, 15 and 30 g ha-1 (Trial 1) and nicosulfuron at doses of 0, 20, 40 and 80 g ha-1 (Trial 2). […]

– This research aimed to evaluate the 2.4-D residual activity over soybean emergence in soils with distinct textures. The experiments, each one with a distinct soil type (clay sand and clay), were conducted in greenhouse conditions, in a randomized entirely design, in factorial scheme 6×2+1 with treatments constituted by the combination of six application period: 0, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 14 days before soybean sown (DBS) and two 2.4-D (502.5 e 1,005 g e.a. ha-1) doses, besides an absolute check […]

Using bioindicator species is really common in studies concerning herbicides behavior in soil. Trifloxysulfuron-sodium and pyrithiobac-sodium are herbicides recommended for post-emergence weed control in cotton crop and present potential carryover to rotational crops. The research aimed to evaluate the susceptibility of vegetal species to doses of trifloxysulfuron-sodium and pyrithiobac-sodium herbicides looking forward to selecting plants that may be used in monitoring low concentrations of these herbicides in soil. Two experiments were simultaneous carried out, in randomized entirely design, disposed in […]

In Brazil, there are no herbicides registered for crambe (Crambe abyssinica Hochst), and little is known about the selectivity of herbicides over this crop. Therefore, two experiments were conducted, simultaneously, in plastic green house, with the objective of evaluating the selectivity of herbicides sprayed in pre emergency over crambe crop initial development. In the first study, it was evaluated the answer-dose of herbicides treatments trifluralin (225, 450, 675 and 900 g ha-1), alachlor (240, 480, 720 and 960 g ha-1) […]

This study aimed to quantify the levels of fiber, cellulose and lignin in Brachiaria decumbent dossel, submitted to different doses of glyphosate. The experiment was carried out in a pasture area containing Brachiaria decumbens at Fazenda Experimental Lageado, FCA/UNESP, Botucatu County, São Paulo State. Treatments consisted of five glyphosate doses (36, 72, 180, 360 and 720 g ha-1) and an untreated control, by using a randomized complete block design with four replications. For herbicide application, a backpack sprayer pressurized by […]
