Pre-sprouting seedlings (MPB) of sugarcane arrive in the field with the aerial part and roots developed, being able to present sensitivity to herbicides and to change weed control management. Therefore, the objectives of this work were: determine the chemical control of Cynodon dactylon, Chloris polydactyla and Merremia aegyptia; and to determine the effect of the herbicides on pre-budded seedlings of different varieties of sugarcane. The experimental design was completely randomized with eleven treatments and four replicates. The herbicides saflufenacil, clomazone, […]

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is an annual oleaginous plant that presents high potential in Brazilian agriculture. The chemical control of weeds in the crop is essential to avoid damage and protect productive potential. The objective of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of herbicides applied in pre-planting incorporated (PPI), pre-planting (PRE) and post-emergence (POST) of the safflower crop. For all, three experiments were installed in greenhouse with a completely randomized design with five replications. The herbicides evaluated for application […]

The seed treatment with safeners may increase the tolerance of crops to herbicides. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of seed treatment with salicylic acid on the tolerance of wheat to flumioxazin. The design was completely randomized, with four replications. The treatments were arranged in a 2 x 6 factorial, where the first factor corresponded to the absence or presence of seed treatment with salicylic acid and the second factor to the doses of flumioxazin (0; 10; 20; […]

The species Urochloa decumbens is an important weed of agricultural crops due to the high adaptive capacity and difficulty of management. The presence of these plants into agricultural production areas can cause serious problems when it competes for water, light and nutrients, besides acting as host of pests and common pathogens to the crop and interfering in harvesting. The study aimed to evaluate doses of control of U. decumbens plants by glyphosate application. Three experiments were conducted, in greenhouse in […]

The objective of this research was to evaluate the injury to the development and yield of early cycle flooded rice cultivar (IRGA 430), caused by simulated glyphosate drift. The experiment was carried out in the field at the Experimental Station of the Rice – IRGA, in the 2016/17 season, and treatments were arranged in factorial scheme 3×2+1 whose factor A consisted of the glyphosate drift simulation with rates of 135; 270 and 540g ha-1 a.e.; the factor B of two […]

Brazil is one of the few countries where it is possible to produce more than one crop in the same agricultural year, and the soybean-corn succession is practiced by most of the producers. This cultural system provided the selection of weeds resistant to herbicides, mainly by the use of herbicides with the same mechanism of action in successive crops. In this scenario, new management strategies should be adopted, such as herbicide applications in corn pre-sowing. The objective of this search […]
