An experiment was conducted in green house, with the objective of evaluating the efficacy of amicarbazone herbicide in controlling Brachiaria plantaginea and Digitaria spp., in function of germination depth and soil humidity conditions. Treatments were constituted by five germination depths of weeds (1; 2; 3; 4 e 5 cm) and four humidity conditions (15 mm of rainfall followed by herbicide application; 15 mm of rainfall, followed by herbicide application and 15 mm of rainfall after 7 days after application (DAA); […]

The management of weeds in the sugarcane is based on the integration of cultural methods, mechanical, physical and chemical. As a physical measure, there is the presence of waste straw from mechanical harvesting, which may act as a barrier, reducing the infestation of weeds or as a physical barrier on the action of herbicides on weed control when applied in preemergence of these plants on the straw of the sugar cane. As a result, the objective of this work is […]

This work aimed to evaluate the efficacy of flumioxazin applied over soil and over oat and corn mulch for controlling weeds, after different periods of permanence without rain. The experiment was carried out in vases, under greenhouse conditions in Botucatu County, São Paulo, Brazil. Vases were filled with soil, and weeds seeds of Brachiaria decumbens, Ipomoea nil, Digitaria spp, Bidens pilosa, Ipomoea grandifolia and Sida rhombifolia were sown and covered or not with oat and corn mulch, depending on the […]

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of several herbicides to control volunteer Roundup Ready soybean plants. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at Fesurv, Rio Verde – GO, in 2008, and the experimental plots were composed of pots of 10 dm3 of capacity. We have used the GR Valiosa® soybean cultivar, arranged in a randomized block design, replicated five times. It was applied the following treatments: atrazine (1,500 g ha-1), tembotrione (100.8 g ha-1), mesotrione (120 g […]
