Knowing the stage where the weed is more susceptible to chemical control is a fundamental part of weeds integrated management. In the specific case of C. bonariensis that is a weed with difficult control, this knowledge has a direct influence on herbicides efficiency. Thus the aim of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of glyphosate + 2,4-D and glufosinate herbicides in controlling C. bonariensis sprayed at different stages of development. Treatments were arranged in a 2×5 factorial scheme, […]

The present work aimed to evaluate the efficacy of flumioxazin applied over the soil or in association with sugarcane mulch, followed by different periods without the rain occurrence. The experiment was conducted in vases under greenhouse conditions in Botucatu County, São Paulo, Brazil. Vases were filled with soil and Brachiaria decumbens, Digitaria horizontalis, Ipomoea nil, Ipomoea grandifolia, Bidens pilosa and Sida rhombifolia weeds were sown and then covered or not with sugarcane mulch, depending on the treatment used. The experimental […]

Aimed in the present work to evaluate the interaction effect between periods of nitrogen coverage fertilization and different formulations of nicosulfuron herbicide over the selectivity to 2B-710 and 30K73 corn hybrids. Two experiments were conducted, simultaneously, with corn seedlings in V3 and V6 stages using treatments disposed in a factorial scheme 2×4+1, where the first factor was composed by two nicosulfuron formulations (18.8 g ha-1) (SansonTM and AccentTM) in mixture with atrazine (1250 g ha-1) and the second factor constituted […]

Frequent utilization of associations among post-emergence herbicides has remained a lot of questions about the selectivity and effectiveness of weeds control in soybean crop. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the selectivity and effectiveness of herbicides tank mixtures on weed management in Roundup Ready® soybean crop. For this purpose, the following treatments were evaluated: glyphosate (960 g ha-1), glyphosate + Agrus 200® adjuvant (960 + 200 g ha-1), glyphosate+chlorimuron-ethyl (960 +12.5 g ha-1), glyphosate+lactofen (960 + 96 g ha-1) and […]

The objective of the work was to evaluate the photosynthetic efficiency through electrons transport rate in sugar cane crop, after S-metolachlor and atrazine herbicides application in post-emergence. For planting sugar cane cuttings (SP80-3280 genotype), vases with 8 dm3 capacity were used for atrazine and S-metolachlor application. Application was performed through a stationary sprayer installed in laboratory and after treatments application, plants were transported to a green house and kept until the end of the study. Reading of electrons transport rate […]
